The Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in Japan

The Consular Section of the Embassy of Sri Lanka is open to the public from Monday to Friday from 9.15 am to 1.00 pm and from 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm.

Telephone enquiries can be made from Monday to Friday from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm. The Embassy does not accept any responsibility for lost or damaged documents sent by post.

 Get an Appoinment

• Prior appointment is mandatory for all consular services, which can be accessed at https://appointments.embassyonline.lk/auth/register

• When submitting documents by post, log in to your account at https://appointments.embassyonline.lk/auth/register and enter your details under SEND POSTAL DOCUMENT, and have the relevant documents sent to the Embassy with the code received.

 Consular Service Fees

• The prescribed fees for services must be paid in cash only. (Payments by cheque, credit card, combined payment, etc. are not possible.)

• When applying for services by post, please use the GENKIN KAKITOME (現金書留) envelope available from the post office.

• If any service is applied for based on incomplete or incorrect information, the relevant service will not be provided, and the fee paid for it will not be refunded.

• APPLICATION FOR NEW PASSPORT - If the current Passport lost or damaged
• APPLICATION FOR NEW PASSPORT - Applicant of the passport is a child under 16
